The news tonight saddens my heart but I rejoice knowing she is with our Heavenly Father. Nancy an I worked briefly together at Coffee Regional and she was very supportive and generous when I lost my husband Myron in 1997; I was widowed at 38 yrs old with 2 daughters that were 12 & 15, she lifted me when I couldn't ~I will be in prayer for the family and I look more forward to heaven every day!Beth Braddy Smith~

My heart is saddened to learn of Nancy's passing. She had a wicked, quick wit, always smiling. She was brilliant, motivated, hard-working, ever the optimist, one heck of a high school basketball player (I know she'd want someone to remember that.), and a friend to everyone. We were good friends in high school & during the early years of our marriages. I will always cherish those memories of good times with Don & Nancy & their children. What a pair those two were! My thoughts and prayers go out to Nancy's family.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I worked with your mom at Wilcox County Health Dept. in the late 1980's and early 1990's. She was a very special lady, and I am blessed to have known her. We always had excitement when your mom and Myrna Scarborough were around. I know heaven is a brighter place now.

We are truly saddened that Nancy's beautiful smile, wit, and service to others is no longer with us. She certainly was one worth knowing and having as a friend. She loved, loved, loved all of her family and friends. May God be with each of you as you walk through this Valley of the Shadow of Death and give you each peace and comfort as only He can. Live, love, and be happy...that's what Nancy wanted most for each of you. Prayers and hugs, Wayne and Janice (Cartwright)

My Mother Olene Dobbs was so proud of Nancy's accomplishments in nursing and kept me informed. Nancy and I graduated together and it was wonderful to see her at the joint class reunions and at times at Cedar Lane. She remembered escapades that I had forgotten. She fought a good fight and no longer is in pain. Thanks for being a nurse for my Mother since I wasn't one. We will miss you, but will be all together
when we all get to Heaven.
