Rev. Howard Hart, 76, of Milan, died Monday, September 12.  Funeral services will be held at 4:00P.M., Wednesday, September 14, in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home, McRae, with burial in the Telfair Memorial Gardens.  Visitation is Tuesday, 6:00-9:00P.M.

A native and lifelong resident of Telfair County, Rev. Hart was the son of the late Lester Lee Hart and the late Maggie Elizabeth Roberson Hart.  He worked with Armstrong, Macon, before moving to McRae Coca Cola where he was the warehouse manager for 36 years.  A lifelong farmer and a pastor at Central Grove Church of God for many years, Rev. Hart assisted with both the Midway Prayer Breakfast and Central Grove Prayer Breakfast.  He served a term as chairman of the Telfair County Board of Commissioners and was always willing to fill in where needed as pastor.  Rev. Hart was preceded in death by a daughter, LaDonna Hart and granddaughter, Brandy Hart.

Survivors include his wife, Faye Floyd Hart, Milan; son, Dana (Jill) Hart, Athens; daughter, Mary Beth (Paul) Cook, Vidalia; brother, Willis Hart, McRae; sister, Mildred Cooper, Jacksonville; and grandchildren, Tori Hart, Jack Hart, Hart Cook and Jase Cook.
