Velma Howard Cameron, 77, of McRae, died Thursday, June 22, following a brief illness. A funeral service will be held at 2:00P.M., Sunday, June 25, at Bethlehem-Sandhill Methodist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is Saturday, 6:00-8:00P.M.
A native of Wheeler County, Mrs. Cameron was the daughter of the late Edgar Truett Howard and the late Sibyl Lowie Howard. A loving wife and mother, she was a 1963 graduate of Wheeler County High School and was a member of Bethlehem-Sandhill Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Bill Cameron of McRae; children, Brian (Sabrina) Cameron of Milan and Jennifer (Donnie) Spires of Helena; sisters, Madelene Sapp of Perry and Sylvia (Robert) Smith of Jacksonville; grandchildren, Alexis Cameron, Candice (Jackson) Holland, Gregory Hemminger, Kinslie Cameron, Caitlin Spires and Natalie Spires; and great-grandchildren, Braxton Holland and Blakelyn Holland.
