Silvia Ann (Boyd) Patterson

Silvia Ann Boyd Giles Patterson, 76, of Helena, died Thursday, October 8, 2020, following an illness.  A graveside funeral service will be held at 10:00A.M., Saturday, October 10, at Oakland (Helena) Cemetery.

A native and lifelong resident of Telfair County, Ms. Patterson was the daughter of the late Homer Boyd and the late Lorene Sellars Boyd.  She was the wife of the late Jimmy Gaines Patterson and a member of Zion Hope Baptist Church.  Ms. Patterson was a registered nurse at Carl Vinson V.A. Medical Center.  She was preceded in death by a brother, Dan Boyd of Douglas.

Survivors include her children, Dilma (Johnny) Slusher of Helena and Stacy (Sue) Giles of Broxton; sisters, Rebecca Harrelson and Opal Coleman; and grandchildren, Karla (Gavin) Slusher-Hart, Brandon Slusher and Austin Giles.  Nieces and nephews also survive.
