Kay (Allen) Pierce

Mary Kay Allen Pierce, 86, of McRae, passed away Thursday, June 16, following a lengthy illness.  A funeral service will be held at 10:00A.M., Saturday, June 18, in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with burial at Telfair Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. at the funeral home.  The family will also receive friends at their home.

A native of Lenox, Mrs. Pierce was the daughter of the late Charlie Carl Allen and the late Tera Kinnard Allen.  A homemaker, she was a member of McRae United Methodist Church where she served on the bereavement committee for numerous years.  Mrs. Pierce attended ABAC before graduating from UGA, then was a homemaker until she later began working alongside her husband, Paul, at their pharmacy, Ocmulgee Drugs.  She was a member of the Lions Club and Garden Club.  Mrs. Pierce was preceded in death by a grandson, Turner Lee Clements and a sister, Ferrye Lou Allen.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Paul Pierce and children, Alan (Debbie) Pierce, Lisa (Craig) Clements and Carl Pierce, all of McRae; grandchildren, Sam (Erica) Pierce, Anna Ellyse Pierce, Noah Pierce, Bennett Clements, Erin (Walker) Stanley, Brock Clements and Abby Clements; and a great-granddaughter, Kaia Josephine Pierce.
