Jorge Armando Zappata

Jorge Armando Zappata, 17, formerly of McRae, died Wednesday, January 13, following a lengthy illness.  A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00A.M., Friday, January 15, at Zion Hope Baptist Church Cemetery, with visitation one hour prior. to the service.

A native of Eastman, Mr. Zappata had lived most of his life in McRae.  He was the son of the late Jorge Medina.

Survivors include his mother, Oralia Zappata; grandparents, Maria Medina of Texas, Arnulfo Medina of Mexico, Maria Gonzalez and Andres Jesus Gonzalez, both of Americus; and brothers and sister, Magaly Medina, Ashley Medina, Nathan Medina and Juan Medina, all of Americus.
