James Melvin White

James Melvin White, 81, of McRae, died Thursday, August 26.  A graveside funeral service will be held at 4:00P.M., Saturday, August 28, at Scotland Cemetery.  Visitation will be at 3:00P.M., at Vaughn Funeral Home.

A native of Dublin, Mr. White was the son of the late Charlie Lewis White and the late Mary Elizabeth Graham White.  He was a farmer, a member of Scotland Baptist Church, and retired after 33 years with Hazlehurst Mills.

Survivors include his children, Donna White of McRae, Tim (Tammy) White of Alamo and Jason (Pam) White of Douglas; brothers, T.L. White of NC, and Cecil White of Helena; grandchildren, Michael, Dusty, Michelle, Macy, Blayne, Logan, Ladson and Jase; and great-grandchildren, Jocelyn, Jordan, Jayla, Abby, Bhodi, Cameron, Boone, Cabe and Rhys.
