Helen Jeanette (Duncan) Johns

Helen Jeanette Duncan Johns, 73, of McRae, died suddenly on Friday, August 26.  A funeral service will be held at 3:00p.m., Sunday, August 28, in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home.  Visitation is one hour prior to the service.

A native of Baxley, Mrs. Johns was the daughter of the late J.T. and Eula Mae Thornton Duncan.  Of Baptist faith, she was an R.N. and Director of Nursing with Centennial Surgery Center before her retirement.  Mrs. Johns was preceded in death by a daughter, Sheila Denise Pickren Powell.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Johns of McRae; children, Jeff Pickren of McRae, Pamela K. (Jason) White of Douglas and Miki Johns (Ashley Shelton) of McRae; brothers, Buddy Duncan and Thomas (Jeanette) Duncan, both of Baxley; grandchildren, Josh (Bethany) Mims, Katie Spires (Wyatt Crews), Blake Spires, Jase Tyler (Victoria) White, Jeffrey Pickren, Jr. and Nick Pickren; and great-grandchildren, Kodi Wilson, Charlee Johns, Rowynn Johns, Kit Van Johns, Delilah Mims, Indiana Mims, Lennon Mims, Rhys White, Abel Pickren and Alaina McGowan.
