Bernice Lorine (Hobbs) Bowen

Bernice Lorine Bowen, 90, of Milan, died Tuesday, March 7.  A funeral service will be held at 2:00P.M., Friday, March 10, at Milan Baptist Church with burial at Milan Cemetery.  Visitation is one hour prior to the service.

A native and lifelong resident of Milan, Mrs. Bowen was the daughter of the late Ernest Edwin Hobbs and the late Aileen Livingston Hobbs.  She was the wife of the late William “Bill” Alonzo Bowen and was a faithful member of Milan Baptist Church as long as her health allowed.  Mrs. Bowen was a secretary at Roydon Wear and was preceded in death by sisters, Ernestine Brown and Myrtle Jordan.

Survivors include her son, Benny Claude (Cricket) Bowen of Swainsboro; dedicated niece, Cecilia Ryals of Rhine; grandchildren, Todd (Christi) Patrick, and Kevin (Sharon) Patrick; and great-grandchildren, Ansley, Ashley and Tommy.
