William "Bill" Edward Daniels

William Edward “Bill” Daniels, 86, of Milan, died Wednesday, June 10.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00P.M., Saturday, June 13, in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home, McRae, with burial in the Rebecca Church Cemetery.  Visitation is Friday, June 12, 6:00 – 8:00P.M.
A native of Milan, where he lived most of his life, Mr. Daniels was the son of the late Joseph M. Daniels and the late Leona Carpenter McDuffie.  A U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, he was a member of Rebecca Baptist Church and was retired from Robins Air Force Base.  Mr. Daniels was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Arthur “Joe” Daniels.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Bernice Strom Daniels, Milan; son, William E. (Kathie) Daniels, Jr., Tallahassee, FL; daughter, Sandi Daniels (Z.T.) Padgett, Jacksonville; sister, Josie Morrison, Macon; grandchildren, Marsha Padgett (Justin) Sage, Chris (Shannon) Daniels, Zack (Kelly) Padgett and Ron (Maggie) Daniels; and great-grandchildren, Abby Padgett, Taylor Sage, Hannah Padgett, Tanner Padgett, Tyler Sage, Courtney Mercer and Kerstin Stroble.
