A native of Telfair County, Mr. Wells was the son of the late George Geiger and Mattie Lou Hulett Wells.  A U.S. Navy veteran, he was a member of Northside Baptist Church since 1966, where he served as Deacon and Chairman for many years.  He was the Director of the Mellowtones Choir for several years and was the Happy Hearts Sunday School teacher for more than thirty years.  Mr. Wells was preceded in death by a son, Lawrence K. “Larry” Wells.
