Sarah Carolyn Adams

Sarah Carolyn Vaughn Adams, 53, of Milan, died Friday, September 6, following a lengthy illness.  A funeral service will be held at 11:00A.M., Monday, September 9, in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home, McRae, with burial at Vaughn Tabernacle Cemetery.  Visitation will be held Sunday from 4:00 - 7:00P.M.

A native and lifelong resident of Telfair County, Ms. Adams was the daughter of the late William Thomas Vaughn and was a member of United Pentecostal Church.  She was a nurse with CoreCivic of Nichols.

Survivors include her mother, Sandra Dobbs Vaughn of Milan; brothers and sister, Timothy (Pat) Vaughn of Douglas, Dwayne Vaughn of Macon and Sheila (Gary) Spikes of Milan; nephews, Bo Spikes (Kaylee Royals), Bradley Spikes (Tiffany Waters), Robert (Samantha) Vaughn and niece, Whitney (Travis) Grisham.  Several great nieces and great nephews also survive.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made towards the funeral expense.
