Rudell (Nelms) Dennis

Rudell Nelms Dennis, 99, of Fort Valley, died Monday, December 3.  A funeral service will be held at 2:00P.M., Thursday, December 6, in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home, McRae, with burial at Mt. Olivet Church Cemetery, Helena.  Visitation is Wednesday, 6:00-8:00P.M.

A native of Glenwood, Ms. Dennis was the daughter of the late Thomas T. and Della LaFavor Nelms and was the wife of the late Olin Dennis.  A homemaker, she was an accomplished cook and gardener who dearly loved her family.  Ms. Dennis was of Methodist faith and was preceded in death by a son, John W. Dennis and a granddaughter, Sharon D. Singletary.

Survivors include her daughter, Susie D. Grimes of Macon; daughter-in-law, Lavona Middlebrooks Dennis of Perry; sister, Dorothy Hannah of Brunswick; grandchildren, Debbie D. Gilleland, David Grimes, Kelvin Grimes and Mark Middlebrooks.  Seven great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren also survive.
