Roy Thomas Jeffries

Roy Thomas Jeffries, 80, of McRae, passed peacefully on Saturday, April 23, following an extended illness.  A funeral service will be held at 2:00P.M., Tuesday, April 26, in the  chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with burial at New Red Hill Holiness Baptist Church Cemetery.  Visitation will be Monday, 6:00 - 8:00P.M.

A native of Fitzgerald, Mr. Jeffries was the son of the late Plas Jeffries and the late Ada Dukes Jeffries.  A U.S. Navy veteran, he was a member of McRae Church of God and was retired from Robins Air Force Base.  Mr. Jeffries was preceded in death by his first wife, Marlene Davis Jeffries and a grandson, Mitchell Austin Jeffries.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Ethel Jeffries of McRae; son, Mitch (Terri)  Jeffries of Helena; stepsons, Mark (Phyllis) Cravey of McRae and Tommy Cravey of Helena; sisters, Pat Youmans of Milledgeville and Sandra Graves of Hiawasee; brother-in-law, John Howell of Milledgeville; sisters-in-law, Vivian McCoy of Eastman and Bonnie McCrimmon of Helena; grandson, Drew (Rebecca) Jeffries of McRae; and great-grandchildren, Reagan Brinson, Tayte Jeffries, Hayden Kinnett and Clova Luke.
