Polly (Shepherd) Bowen

Polly Shepherd Bowen, 87, of Milan, died Monday, May 22.  A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00P.M., Thursday, May 25, in Milan Cemetery.  Visitation is Wednesday, 6:00-7:30P.M.

A native and lifelong resident of Milan, Ms. Bowen was the daughter of the late Will Shepherd, Sr. and the late Maebell Selph Shepherd.  A member of Milan Baptist Church, she operated Bowen’s Department Store and Milan Cleaners and was a caretaker for her husband, the late Thomas Jackson “T.J.” Bowen.

Survivors include her daughters, Deborah (Robert) Belcher, Columbus, Donna (Brian) Barker, Navarre, FL and Teresa (Michael) Yeomans, Jacksonville; grandchildren, Steven (Lizett) Belcher, Keith Belcher, Tyler Barker, Amy (Jason) Barron, Melanie (Jeremy) Fish and Daniel Yeomans; and great-grandchildren, Jayci Kate Barron, Addison Fish and Lisanna Belcher.
