Oswald Alton "Al" Best, Jr.

Oswald Alton “Al” Best, Jr., 63, of Dublin, formerly of McRae, died Wednesday, January 4.  A funeral service will be at 12:00noon, Friday, January 6, in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with burial in the Central Grove Church Cemetery.  Visitation is Friday, 10:30-12:00noon.

A native of Telfair County where he lived most of his life, Al was the son of the Alton Best, Sr. and the late Rozelle Patrick Best.  An x-ray technician, he had worked in several hospitals and he attended the McRae Church of God.

Survivors include his children, William Best and Melissa Best, Dublin; father, Alton Best, Sr., McRae; brother, Ronald (Mary Jo) Best, Carrollton; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
