Myrtis (Lowery) Thomas

Myrtis Lowery Thomas, 94, of Tryon, NC, died Saturday, May 6.  Visitation will be held from 12:30 – 1:30P.M., Tuesday, May 9, at Vaughn Funeral Home, followed at 2:00P.M., by a graveside funeral service at Rockwell Baptist Church Cemetery.

A native of Telfair County, Mrs. Thomas was the daughter of the late John H. and Laura Patterson Lowery and was the wife of the late James Edwin Thomas.  She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her daughter, Debbie (John) Rogers of Tryon, NC; brother, Jack (Buena) Lowery of McRae; sisters, Montana Knowles of Macon and Joann (Billy) Adams of McRae; and grandchildren, Aaron Thomas (Morgan) Edwards and Rachel Edwards (Eric) DeAlba.
