Murlene (Cheek) Haymons
Murlene Cheek Haymons, 80, of McRae, died Thursday, September 10. A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00P.M., Saturday, September 12, at Telfair Memorial Gardens.
A native and lifelong resident of Telfair County, Mrs. Haymons was the daughter of the late Denver R. and Margie Lavender Cheek. She was a Para-pro with the Telfair County School System and attended Helena Baptist Church for many years.
Survivors include her husband, Lofton Haymons, McRae; children, Steven Lofton Haymons and Kim Elizabeth Haymons, McRae, and Jeffery D. and Paige Haymons, Statesboro; grandchildren, Meredith and Tucker Dixon, Beth and Alan Bethea, Bradley Steven Haymons, Laura Elizabeth Burch, Morgan Elizabeth Haymons and Finley Joe Haymons; great-grandchildren, Ava Cate Dixon and Drew Tucker Dixon; and brother, Elzer Admiral and Linda Cheek, Glenwood.
