Mattie Lou (Towns) Stevenson
Mattie Lou Towns Stevenson, 72, of McRae, died Sunday, November 22, following a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be held at 11:00A.M., Tuesday, November 24, in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home. Visitation is Monday, 7:00-9:00P.M.
A native and lifelong resident of Telfair County, Ms. Stevenson was the daughter of the late Orin and Mattie Britt Towns. She was a member of McRae United Methodist Church and was a homemaker.
Survivors include her son, Mike (Stephanie) Stevenson, Warrenton; sisters, Rena Reaves, Dublin and Jane Riddle, McRae; and grandchildren, Mikie Stevenson, Ashley Griffith and Blake Griffith and Andrew Carson.
