Ludie Hester (Downs) Lann

Ludie Hester Lann, 100, of Milan, died peacefully on Monday, July 19.  A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00A.M., Wednesday, July 21, at Milan Cemetery.  Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service, at the cemetery.

A native of Smithville, MS, Mrs. Lann was the daughter of the late Victor and Nancy Lindsey Downs.  She was the wife of the late Elton Lee "Mannie" Lann and was a homemaker and babysitter for most of her life.  Mrs. Lann is preceded in death by sons, Tony Lann, Leroy Lann and Ronald Lann and daughter-in-law, Kay Lann.

Survivors include her children, Winky (Connie) Lann, Phillip Lann, Linda Allen (Buford Conley), Lionel Lann and Libby Ann Lann, all of Milan; grandchildren, Alan Lann, Jamie (Casey) Lann, Rhonda Cancino, Dawn (Richard) Jones, Cory (Peggy) Allen, Jennifer (Ray) Widener, Amy Lann and Chesley Lann; great-grandchildren, Dylan Lann, Paige Lann Green, Asher Lann, Ron Daniels, Ashley Cancino, Terry Brown, Britnie Pittman, Matt Jones, Kurt Allen, Katlin Allen, Troy Allen, Landon Allen, Raylann Widener and John Wesley Widener; great-great-grandchildren, Haylee Davis, Layton Davis, Timothy Allen, Joanna Daniels and Terry Brown; daughters-in-law, Jane Lann, Janette Lann and Marilyn Lann.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.
