Lawrence Elton “Lonnie” Kahrmann, 84, of McRae, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Thursday, July 2. Visitation will be held at 12:30P.M., Friday, July 3, at Vaughn Funeral Home, followed by the graveside funeral service at 2:00P.M. at Mt. Olivet Church Cemetery.
A native of Essex, N.Y., Mr. Kahrmann was the son of the late Arthur and Irene Cooley Kahrmann and was married to the late Janice Avant Kahrmann. A member of McRae United Methodist Church, he was Vice President of First Federal Savings and Loan and Fulton Federal Savings and Loan. Mr. Kahrmann was a US Air Force Military Air Police during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the Rotary Club. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Keith James Kahrmann, Jr.
Survivors include his children, Selese & Ted Odom, Ball Ground, Randy & Carol Kahrmann, McRae, Keith Kahrmann, Concord, N.H., and Shaun & Angie Kahrmann, Dublin; son-in-law, Norman Brown, St. Pete, FL; daughter-in-law, Theresa Kahrmann, SC; brother and sister, Bobby (Shirley) Kahrmann, VT and Joyce (Larry) Frigault, NY; grandchildren, Carman (Blair) Hasty, Nick Kahrmann, Matt Kahrmann, A.J. Kahrmann, Kaytlyn Kahrmann, Keith James Kahrmann, III and Joshua Kahrmann; and great-grandchildren, Ellie Pulliam and Jordan Warren.
