Larry Blaine Butler

Larry Blaine Butler, 69, of Rhine, died Sunday, January 28, following an illness.  A graveside funeral service will be held at 3:00P.M., Tuesday, January 30, at Bethel Church Cemetery.  Visitation is Monday, 6:00-8:00P.M.

A native and lifelong resident of Telfair County, Mr. Butler was the son of the late Wade B. Butler, Jr. and Cornelia Bloodworth Butler.  He was a U.S. Navy veteran and was of Methodist Faith.  An avid hunter and fisherman, Mr. Butler had been employed with Cook & Co.  He was preceded in death by a niece, Janet L. Walker; and great-nephews, Welman Charles Walker and Rhett Clint Walker.

Survivors include his sister, Bonnie Fletcher of Milan; nieces, Marilyn Vaughn and Marla Register; great-nieces, Casey (Jamie) Lann and Taylor (Joe) Hobbs; great-great-nephew, Asher Lann; and great-great-niece, Jessa Hobbs.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Bethel Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Tommie B. Jones, 103 Boney Ferry Rd., Rhine, GA 31077.
