Joyce Ann Brewer Holt, 73, of Jacksonville, died Friday, April 29. Funeral services are at 3:00P.M., Sunday, May 1, in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home, McRae, with burial in the Riverside Cemetery, Lumber City.
A native and lifelong resident of Telfair County, Mrs. Holt was the daughter of the late Leroy R. and Essie Azilee Stallworth Brewer. She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Galilee Baptist Church, and was the wife of the late Kenneth Carlton Holt, Sr.
Survivors include her children, Willie (Susie) Swain, Lumber City, Teresa McCrillis, Birmingham, AL, and Kenneth C. “Carl” (Pam) Holt, Jr., Lumber City; brothers and sisters, Betty Varnadoe, Bo Brewer, Edwin Brewer, Frank Brewer and David Brewer, all of Lumber City, and Brenda Varnadoe, Warner Robins; grandchildren, Becky Yawn and Jennifer Melvin, McRae, Kevin McCrillis, Birmingham, AL, and Jessica Boyd, Valdosta, Kenneth C. “Kenny” Holt, III, Jena Holt, and Christy Swain, Lumber City,; and great-grandchildren, Ashley Yawn, Andrew Yawn and Charlie Allen.
