John "Johnny" Alexander Peterson, V

John A. Peterson, V died Sunday, August 6.  A memorial service will be held at 12:00Noon, Saturday, August 19, in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home.

A longtime resident of Telfair County and the son of the late John A. Peterson, IV and the late Martha Alice Willis Peterson, Johnny was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing and loved NASCAR. He worked for Windstream for 35 years where he was known as the best "phone man" there ever was. Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, and sisters, Helen and Galen.

Survivors include his daughter, Elizabeth Whittington of Gray; sister, Mitsy Peterson of Milledgeville; grandchildren, Kyra Whittington and Cohen Whittington; a niece, Jessica Lister and a nephew, Dylan Ellzey.
