Joey Dwayne Lamar Sheppard, 24, of McRae, died Sunday, October 3. Funeral services will be at 3:00P.M., Wednesday, October 6, at Helena Baptist Church with burial in the Helena Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday, 6:30-8:3-P.m.
A native and lifelong resident of Telfair County, Mr. Sheppard was the son of Eddie Logue and the late Lisa Jane Burch (Ricky) Sheppard and was the grandson of the late Ruby Lee Burch (Arthur Harris). An electrician, he was a member of Helena Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Jodi Cooper Sheppard of McRae; children, Desiree Paige Sheppard, Kody James Sheppard, and Jaylee Lucille Sheppard, all of McRae; father, Eddie Logue of Helena; step-father, Ricky Sheppard of Brunswick; step-grandfather, Arthur Harris, Lumber City; mother-in-law, Jackie Fulford (Billy Ray Harrell) of McRae; father-in-law, Timmy Cooper of Eastman; sister, Laura Lynn Sheppard of Brunswick; brothers, Dustin Wayne Sheppard, Billy Mac Sheppard and Ricky Lucas Sheppard, all of McRae and Josh Hogan of Atlanta; aunt, Ruby Joe (Bo Bo) Gibson of Helena.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that contributions be made toward final expenses.
