Jean Beck, née Kimsey, a member of the Carnesville Church of God, passed away on May 9, 2026, in Lavonia, GA. Born November 16, 1943, in Atlanta, she lived a life marked by commitment to her career, faith, and family.
Jean's journey began in the heart of Atlanta, where she was born to Roy L. and Rosa Smith Kimsey. She carried forward the values instilled in her by her parents until their passing and extended those values to her own family and community throughout her life. Jean's professional career was distinguished by her service within the Georgia Department of Transportation, where she worked diligently in administration, contributing to the organization’s efforts with unwavering dedication.
In addition to her professional achievements, Jean was a cherished member of the Carnesville Church of God, where she found spiritual nourishment and built lasting relationships with fellow congregants.
Jean is survived by her son, David Beck of Carnesville; her brother, Wayne Kimsey and his wife Linda of Warner Robins; her sisters, Marsha Shrader and her husband Randy of Carrollton, and Tina McIntyre. She is also remembered fondly by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a wide network of friends who were touched by her kindness and gentle spirit.
Her legacy is one of heartfelt devotion to family, steadfast faith, and a commendable career marked by professionalism and grace.
