J. Q. Russ, Jr.

Mr. J.Q. Russ, Jr., 80, of Jacksonville, died Saturday, May 7, following a brief illness.  Funeral services will be private.

A native and lifelong resident of Jacksonville, Mr. Russ was the son of the late Jasper Quincy Russ, Sr. and the late Sarah Graham Russ.  A well respected and lifelong farmer, he was an active member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church and a U.S. Air Force veteran.  Mr. Russ was also a member of the Helena Masonic Lodge #536, was a Shriner and a member of Scottish Rite.

Survivors include his wife, Emily Bland Russ, Jacksonville; daughters, Kay Russ (Bob) Kyff, Point Pleasant Beach, NJ, and Yvonne Russ (David) Altman, Helena; grandchildren, Kristina Kyff, Russ (Vanessa) Kyff, Kolby Kyff and Joseph Altman; and a great-grandchild, Benaiah Kyff.
