Harriet Amy (Cook) Bennett

Harriet Amy Cook Bennett, 78, passed away on January 12, 2024, in Tampa, Florida. Harriet was born on August 3, 1945. She was the daughter of Harry Augustus Cook, Sr., and Amy Lila Herring Cook of Milan, Georgia. She is survived by her children, Amy Wheeler (Daniel) and Andrew Bennett (Emily); five grandchildren, Cole Wheeler and Andrew, Allison, Molly, and Matthew Bennett; and brother, Harry Augustus Cook, Jr., (Gail).

Harriet's life was characterized by love for family, service to others, and faith. She had a career in and passion for social work, many other creative talents including sewing and cooking, and a special place in her heart for dogs. Perhaps her greatest joy was being a loving Aba/Grandma to her grandchildren.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, January 22, at Milan Cemetery, Milan, Georgia.
