Haley Danielle Smith

Haley Danielle Smith, 28, of Milan, died Tuesday, April 11, 2017.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00P.M., Friday, April 14, in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home, McRae, with burial at New Red Hill Church Cemetery.  Visitation is Thursday, 6:00-8:00P.M.

A native and lifelong resident of Telfair County, Miss Smith was a student and a member of Milan United Methodist Church.  She was preceded in death by her step-father, Ottis F. McNeal; grandparents, Marion Mallette Smith, Quinnell Hargrove Smith and Ronnie Spires; cousins, Lindsey Tomberlin and Nathan Singletary; and uncle, Marion Smith.

Survivors include her son, Chandlar Dawson Evans of Milan; parents, Lisa Ann Spires Thomas (Travis) of Rentz and Neal Smith, Sr. of Milan; grandmother, Linda Spires of Milan; brother, Neal Smith, Jr. (Holly) of Milan; aunts and uncles, Vickie Spires Giddens (Brock) of Milan, Shelly Tomberlin (Reg) of Rhine, Paulette Smith Reeves (Joe) of Macon and Jerry Spires of Milan; and nephew, Mason Mallette Smith of Milan.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Ridgeview Institute (ATTN: Diana Redman), 3995 South Cobb Dr., Smyrna, GA 30080, or to any charity benefiting children affected by anorexia or bulimia.
