Gussie (Harrell) Selph

Gussie Harrell Selph, 86, of Milan, died Tuesday, November 28.  A funeral service will be held at 2:00P.M., Thursday, November 30, at Freedom Baptist Church with burial in the Milan Cemetery.  Visitation is one hour prior to the funeral service.

A native and lifelong resident of Telfair County, Ms. Selph was the daughter of the late Henry Mitchell Harrell and the late Emma Lettie Wells Harrell.  A homemaker, she was the wife of the late James Franklin “Cotton” Selph and was a member of Freedom Baptist Church.  Ms. Selph was preceded in death by a sister, Mary H. Studstill.

Survivors include her daughters, Karen S. (Bill) Jones and Connie (Winky) Lann, both of Milan; sister, Betty (Gene) Johnson of McRae; grandchildren, Lori (Joey) Marchant and Becki (Bryan) Kilpatrick; great-grandchildren, Davis Marchant, Macy Grace Marchant, Ansley Kilpatrick and Abby Claire Kilpatrick; dedicated and special lifelong friend, Susan Hamilton; and caregiver, Linda Tobler.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Memorial contributions may be made to Freedom Baptist Church.
