Lillie Grace Tribble Pope, 74, of Lumber City, died Monday, February 20. Funeral services will be at 11:00A.M., Thursday, February 23, in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home, McRae, with burial in the Dodge’s Chapel Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday, 6:00-9:00P.M.
A native and lifelong resident of Telfair County, Mrs. Pope was the daughter of the late Osie S. Tribble, Sr. and Mary Grace McMichael Tribble. She was a member of Dodge’s Chapel and the co-owner/operator of Pope’s Store. Mrs. Pope was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Douglas “Junior” Pope, Jr.
Survivors include her children, Sheila (Bruce) Gilder and Roger Pope, both of Lumber City; grandchildren, Cindy Gilder, Cody Gilder, Cymon Gilder, Chazz Gilder, Maze Gilder, Tylor Pope, Kyle Pope and Jessica Pope; and sisters, Mattie Bell Horton of Lyons and Ruth McMichael of Eatonton.
