Emily Jane Mann Davidson, 73, of McRae, died Friday, May 25.  Funeral services will be at 2:00P.M., Sunday, May 27, at the McRae United Methodist Church with burial in the Oak Grove Cemetery.  Visitation is Saturday, 6:00-8:00P.M.
 
 Born December 30, 1938, in McRae, Mrs. Davidson was the daughter of the late Emily Flanders and William S. Mann, Jr.  She was a graduate of the University of Georgia with a degree in Journalism, and was a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority.  Mrs. Davidson attended Georgia Southern University and studied in Spain for add-on certification.  Remembered for being a caring and favorite teacher by many of her students, she taught in Telfair County Schools for most of her career, and was named Star Teacher and Outstanding Educator. A member of McRae United Methodist Church, Georgia Retired Educators Association and Telfair/Wheeler Retired Educators Association, she was the author of two books.  Mrs. Davidson was preceded in death by sisters, Kay Rogers, Jeanette Schaffer and Camille Harbin; and a brother, Bud Nairn.
 
 Survivors include her husband, James Lamar Davidson; sons, Sim (Andrea) Davidson and Norwood Davidson; and granddaughters, Emily Davidson, Merritt Davidson and Millie Davidson, all of McRae.  Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
