Donald K. Rich

Donald K. Rich, 67, of McRae, died peacefully Wednesday, July 5, 2023, following a lengthy illness. A memorial service will be held at 4:00P.M., Friday, July 7, at Byron Baptist Church, Byron, GA.

A native of Macon, Mr. Rich was the son of the late James Franklin Rich and the late Pearl Cowart Rich.  A Shriner and a member of People’s Baptist Church, he was preceded in death by his wife, Diane Lucas Rich; daughter, Donna K. Davidson; and sister, Jackie Kline.

Survivors include his daughter, Amanda Newberry of Lizella; brothers and sisters, David (Darla) Rich of Warner Robins, Kenny (Candy) Rich of Centerville, Jimmy (Debra) Rich of Byron, Evelyn Rich of Swainsboro, Charles (Vickie) Rich of Jeffersonville, Ronnie (Vickie) Rich of North Carolina and Samantha (John) Smith of Swainsboro; half-brothers and half-sisters, James (Sheila) Rich of Perry, Julie Rich of Jeffersonville, Frankie (Marcus) Borders of Fort Valley, Tim (Angel) Rich of Roberta; William Rich of Twin City and Rickey Rich of Jeffersonville;  grandchildren, Amanda Nicole Davis of Danville; Joel Newberry and Daisy Newberry, both of Lizella; several nieces and nephews; and friends, Sheila and Charles Joyce and Willie King.
