Charles Edward Valentine

Charles Edward Valentine, 54, of McRae, died peacefully in his sleep of natural causes, on Saturday, April 18.  A memorial service will be planned at a later date.

A native of Oakland, CA, Mr. Valentine was the son of the late Patrick Valentine and the late Carol Mullen.  A gentle giant, he was an I.T. Tech with Verizon Business and later employed with Core Civic Wheeler Correctional Facility.

Survivors include his wife, Liz Valentine of McRae; children, Amber (Travis) Strazisar of McRae, Lindsey (Brandon) Scott of Palm Desert, CA, Mackenzie (Kevin) Heckaman of Grand Rapids, MI and Max Valentine of McRae. Six grandchildren also survive.
