Carrie Rebecca "Reba" (Spires) Whidby
Carrie Rebecca "Reba" Spires Whidby, 82, of Macon, died Friday, June 29. Funeral services will be at 11:00A.M., Monday, July 2, in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home, McRae, with burial in the Rebecca Cemetery, Milan. Visitation is Sunday, 6:00-8:00P.M.
A native of Telfair County, Mrs. Whidby was the daughter of the late Lee and Carrie Rebecca Pipkin Spires. A retired salesperson with Macon Shoe Company and Danneburg, Mrs. Whidby was a resident of The Oaks at Peake. She was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Curtis Spires, A.J. Spires, Marion Spires, Vann Sullivan, Lola Mae McDuffie, Lessie McLeod and Katie Jones.
Survivors incude her sons, Lawrence Whidby and Terry Whidby, both of Macon; Kathy Whidby Sullivan, Lake Ozark, MO; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
