Bobby Alton Coleman, 78, of McRae, died Friday, March 6. Funeral services will be held at 2:00P.M., Sunday, March 8, at Southside Baptist Church with burial at Telfair Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Saturday, 7:00-9:00P.M.
A native of Wheeler County, Mr. Coleman was the son of the late Andrew "A.T." and Lois Wilkerson Coleman. He was a member and deacon of Southside Baptist Church, and was a former salesman with Vaughn's Furniture, Ruth Vaughn and Jackson Wholesale, then worked with Roydon Wear and Wilkins Industries before retiring to begin his own carpentry business.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby Lowie Coleman, McRae; son, Glenn Alan (Mitzy) Coleman, Palatka, FL; daughters, Alisa Coleman (Donald) Wilmoth, and Anita Coleman, both of McRae; brothers, Andrew Homer (Sarah) Coleman, Columbia, SC and Donald (Opal) Coleman, Milner; grandchildren, Tonya Coleman Thompson, Bradley Alan Coleman, Deeana Coleman and Corey Coleman; step-grandchildren, Steven Daniel and Brian Daniel; and eleven great-grandchildren.
