It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bobbie Jean White, affectionately known as "Bunny," who left us on July 20, 2025, in Albany, after an extended illness. Born on January 1, 1950, in McRae, she lived a life dedicated to her family and brought joy to everyone around her.
Bunny was a devoted homemaker for most of her life, demonstrating unwavering love and support to her children, whom she adored deeply. Her personality was characterized by joyous laughter and a vibrant spirit, which endeared her to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. A proud supporter of Peach County Football, Bunny found joy not just in her family but also in her community. A faithful follower of God, she was a member of Peachtree Baptist Church where she found comfort worshipping with other parishioners.
She was married to her beloved husband, Wanda F. White, for 57 wonderful years. Together, they raised three loving children: Kenny (Jill) White of Macon, Denise Ethridge of Fort Valley, and Rodney White of Perry. Bunny's legacy extends to her cherished grandchildren, Carson White, Drew Williams, Aislyn Ethridge, Mason White, Colton White, Addyson White, and Pierson White, who will forever hold her memory in their hearts.
Bunny is survived by her brothers and sister, Eric (Jule) Peavy of Michigan, Larry (Lori) Peavy of Cocoa Beach, FL, and Jewell Horne of Helena, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nelson Avant Peavy and Vada Irvin Peavy, along with three grandchildren, Cheyenne White, Chase White, and Hope White.
The family invites friends and loved ones to join them in honoring Bunny's memory. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Peachtree Baptist Church, located at 1202 GA Hwy 247 Connector, Byron, GA 31008. A funeral service will commence at 12:00 PM, followed by burial at the Byron Cemetery
Bunny's spirit will continue to inspire all who knew her, and her laughter will echo in their hearts forever.
