Betty Rose (Gillum) McDuffie

Betty Rose Gillum McDuffie, 82, of McRae, died Monday, August 11.  Funeral services will held at 11:00A.M., Thursday, August 14, in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home  with visitation one hour prior to the service.  Burial will be private.

A native of Rover, Arkansas, Ms. McDuffie was the daughter of the late Don and Sybil King Gillum and was the wife of the late Jesse B. McDuffie, Jr.  She was Vice President/Manager of Ross-Smith Pecan Plant for 35 years prior to her 10-year employment with Citizens Bank and Trust.  Ms. McDuffie was a member of McRae First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her children, Sherry McDuffie, Athens, and Don (Deb) McDuffie, McRae; brothers and sisters, Arthur Gillum, Little Rock, AR, John W. Gillum, Owensboro, KY, Rex F. Gillum, Burleson TX, Martha Jean, Mobile, AL, and Donna Lee Miller, Pine Bluff, AR; granddaughter, Heather (Craig) Fussell, Dublin; great-granddaughters, Laney Fussell and Lauren Fussell; and special friend, Peggy Walker, McRae.
