Bessie Jane (Stokes) Harrelson

Bessie S. Harrelson, 89, of McRae, died Saturday, November 21, following an extended illness.  A graveside funeral service will be held at 3:00P.M., Tuesday, November 24, at Harrelson Cemetery, Helena.

A native of Wheeler County, Mrs. Harrelson was the daughter of the late Stonewall and Irene Clark Stokes, and was the wife of the late William Milton "Teet" Harrelson.  She was a secretary with Motorola Business Communications for more than twenty-five years and was a member of Helena United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her sons, William Robert "Bobby" (Pat) Harrelson and Chuck (Betty) Harrelson, both of Helena; sister, Peggy Bailey of Pensacola, FL; granddaughters, Christy White and Leslie Harrelson Ruggenberg; great-grandchildren, Ashley Edge and Nicholas Ruggenberg; and great-great-granddaughter, Everleigh Edge.
