Barbara Winifred Langley
Barbara Langley, 79, of McRae, died Thursday, September 10, following a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be held at 3:00P.M., Sunday, September 13, at McRae First Baptist Church with burial in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation is Saturday, 5:30-7:30P.M. at Vaughn Funeral Home in McRae.
A native of Mount Vernon, Georgia, Mrs. Langley was the daughter of the late Reba Humphrey-Cooper. She attended Brewton-Parker College and was a graduate of Georgia Southern University. She was a member of McRae First Baptist Church and taught school at Ocmulgee Academy and Telfair County High School. Mrs. Langley was preceded in death by a daughter, Gail Langley Bearss.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Herman T. Langley, McRae; children, Timothy (Kim) Langley, Statham, and Janis (Wendell) Murray, Lawrenceville; and grandchildren, Christa Marie Murray, Avery Jane Langley, Sarah Kate Langley and Charis Rosslyn Langley.
