Annette "Annie" Mitchell

Annette "Annie" Mitchell, a cherished homemaker and beloved member of the Shiloh community, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2025, in Vidalia, Georgia. Born on February 15, 1937, in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, Annie was known for her unwavering dedication to her family and her nurturing spirit that touched the lives of many.

Annie was the proud mother of sons, Robbie (Brenda) Mitchell of Alamo and Mike (Pam) Mitchell of Lumber City. Her role as a mother was a source of immense pride, and she poured her love and devotion into her family throughout her life. Annie also took great joy in being a grandmother to her grandchildren, Alan (Dawn) Mitchell, Megan (Lee) Stokes, Courtney (Andy) Miller, Katie (Andrew) Hackler, and Heather (Caleb) Browning. Her legacy extends to her great-grandchildren, Noah (Izzy) Mitchell, Aidan Mitchell, Cason Stokes, Holten Stokes, Blakelee Stokes, Sawyer Kate Hackler, Olivia Drew Hackler, and Mary Collins Hacker, who brought her immeasurable joy and happiness.  She is also survived by her loving brother, Lamar (Janice) Edwards of Forsyth, who will also carry her memory.

Annie was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Harry Howell Mitchell, and her beloved son, Stevie Mitchell. Their absence created a void in her heart as well as the hearts of all who knew them.  Annie's spirit will forever remain a guiding light for those she leaves behind.

Friends and family are invited to honor Annie's life during a visitation at Shiloh Methodist Church on September 28, 2024, at 3:00 PM, followed at 4:00 PM, by the funeral service.

Annie Mitchell will be remembered for her countless contributions to her family and community, and her kind-hearted nature will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace.
