Alice Faye "Jennie" (Davis) Bentley

Alice Faye “Jennie” Bentley, 71, of McRae, died Wednesday, May 31.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00A.M., Friday, June 2, in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with burial in Telfair Memorial Gardens.  Visitation is Thursday, 6:00-8:00P.M.

A native and lifelong resident of Telfair County, Ms. Bentley was the daughter of the late Charlie Fulton Davis and the late Alice Jones Davis.  She was a former supervisor with Roydon Wear and Heckler Corporation.  She was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Razz Davis, Gordon Davis, Myrtle Horton and Marlene Jeffries; a nephew, Andy Davis and a great-nephew, Austin Jeffries.

Survivors include her sons, Charlie Yawn and Fred Bentley, both of McRae; brother and sister, Roger (Billie Joe) Davis of Chauncey and Joanne (Tom) Miller, of Monticello; grandchildren, Lexy Yawn and Brooklyn Yawn, both of McRae; and several nieces and nephews.
