Homer Boone

Homer Boone, 90, of Jacksonville, died Monday, November 11.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00A.M., Wednesday, November 13, in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home, McRae, with private burial in the Boone Family Cemetery.  Visitation is Tuesday, 6:00-8:00P.M.

A native and lifelong resident of Jacksonville, Mr. Boone was the son of the late Charles and Liller Williams Boone.  He was a lifelong farmer and businessman and was preceded in death by his wife, Inez Cliett Boone.

Survivors include his children, Jim (Paula) Boone, Jacksonville, Eloise “Tettle” Taylor, Donaldsonville, Tom (Kam) Boone, Jacksonville, Linda (Mark) Metz, N. Augusta, SC, Charles “Sambo” (Cindy) Boone, Jacksonville, Janice (Rocky) Hilliard, Rhine and Liller Boone, McRae; brother, Charles Boone, Jr., Macon; fifteen grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice Care Options, 718 Medical Center Dr., Eastman, GA, or to the charity of your choice.
