Peggy Joyce (Gilder) Walker

Peggy Gilder Walker, 87, formerly of McRae, died Thursday, June 27.  A funeral service will be held at 3:00P.M., Sunday, June 30, in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home, McRae, with burial at Telfair Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service.

A native of Wheeler County, Ms. Walker was the daughter of the late William Hightower Gilder and the late Etna Causey Gilder, and was the wife of the late Virgil Roger Walker.  A para-professional at Telfair County High School, she attended the Joy Sunday School class at McRae First Baptist Church, where she was a member.  Ms. Walker was preceded in death by brothers, William Gilder of Andalusia, AL, Thad Gilder and Jethro Gilder, both of Alamo.

Survivors include her daughter, Pam Walker of Villa Rica and several nieces and nephews.
