James Henry "Monk" Hulett, 74, of Milan, died Saturday, August 26.  A funeral service will be held at 3:00P.M., Tuesday, August 29, in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home, McRae, with burial in Friendship Church Cemetery.  Visitation is one hour prior to the funeral service.

A native and lifelong resident of Telfair County, Mr. Hulett was the son of Mary Ellen “Sister Suge” Wooten Hulett and the late Daniel Hulett.  He attended True Light Church of Jesus Christ and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.  Mr. Hulett was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Hulett, nephew, Blake Hulett and great-nephew, Landon Conner.

Survivors include his mother, Mary Ellen “Sister Suge” Hulett of Milan; brothers and sisters, C.A. (Elene) Hulett of Fitzgerald, Jerry D. Hulett of Milan, Mary Juanita (Raymond) Mullis of Eastman, Ruth Hulett Holloway of Eastman; Tryphena (Donald) Renew of Milan, Rebecca (Johnny) Boston of Springfield, John Hulett of Milan and Sharon (Dale) Hefton of McRae; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
