George Richard Harrelson

George Richard “Ricky” Harrelson, 60, of Jacksonville, died Monday, January 06, following an extended illness.  A funeral service will be held at 2:00P.M., Wednesday, January 8, at McRae Church of God.  Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6:00-8:00P.M. at Vaughn Funeral Home.

A native of Wheeler County, Mr. Harrelson was the son of the late Eugene and Sue Briley Harrelson.  He was formerly employed with Roydon Wear Manufacturing and with Shaw Industries.  He attended McRae Church of God.

Survivors include his wife, Sarah Sue Strom Harrelson; son, George Daniel (Lucy) Harrelson; and daughter, Sabrina Harrelson (Bryan) Rentz, all of Jacksonville; brothers and sisters, Ronald (Tammy) Harrelson of Lyons, Sue Crosby of Helena, Dale (Joey) Lowery of Eastman, Henry (Debra) Harrelson of Helena, Linda Clements of Glenwood, Debra (Steve) Attaway of Eastman, Marie (Kenny) Lumley and Ima Harrelson, both of Alamo; and grandchildren, Ava Grace Harrelson, Georgia Rae Harrelson, Bryson Rentz, Ethan Rentz and Sara Rentz.
