Betty Sue (Spires) Rawlins

Betty Sue Spires Rawlins, 77, of McRae, died peacefully at her home on Sunday, September 22, following a lengthy illness.  A visitation will be held at 10:00A.M., Saturday, October 12, at Vaughn Funeral Home, followed by a memorial service at 11:00A.M., in the chapel.

A native and lifelong resident of McRae, Mrs. Rawlins was the daughter of the late Chris and Ethel Bowen Spires.  A floral designer for most of her life, she was a member of Harmony Baptist Church and Sandhill United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Roy Rawlins of McRae; children, Kay Rawlins of McRae, Don Rawlins and Chris Rawlins, both of Brooklet; sister, Sharon Harris of McRae; grandchildren, Jacob Rawlins, Sara Rawlins, Sam Rawlins,  Blake Weatherly and Brandon Weatherly; and great-granddaughter, Ella Brook Weatherly.

The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (stjude.org), 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
