Willene Knight Attaway, 85, of Milan, died Thursday, September 22.  Funeral services will be held at 3:00P.M., Saturday, September 24, at Freedom Baptist Church with burial in the Milan Cemetery.  Visitation is one hour prior to the service.

A native and lifelong resident of Milan, Ms. Attaway was the daughter of the late Dave and Nancy Margaret Thompson Knight and was the wife of the late Floyd Attaway.  She was the secretary at Milan Elementary School and Central Elementary School and was a member of Milan United Methodist Church.  Ms. Attaway was preceded in death by a brother, David Jackson Knight, and a sister, Zelma K. Smith.

Survivors include her sons, Floyd Edwin “Eddy” (Becky) Attaway and Robert “Bob” (Teresa) Attaway, both of Milan; brother-in-law, J.M. Smith, Eastman; grandchildren, Christy Attaway (Brett) Miller, Waycross, Christopher David (Kristen) Attaway, Dublin, Alayna N. (Will) Bland, Brantley Attaway and Gabe Attaway, all of Milan; and great-grandchildren, Rylee Jane Miller and Amelia Jo Miller, both of Waycross.
