Louise (Patterson) Fussell

December 26, 1920 ~ November 4, 2016 (age 95) 95 Years Old

Louise Patterson Fussell went to be with her Lord on Friday, November 4.  Her husband of 66 years, Preston Fussell, preceded her in death in April, 2007.  Mrs. Fussell was the daughter of the late John T. 'Dock' O'Barr and Essie Lowery O'Barr.  From birth she was raised by the late John G. 'Bub' and Fannie O'Barr Patterson.

Mrs. Fussell was a member of Blockhouse Baptist Church since 1941 and a member of the Jacksonville Lions Club.

She is survived by one son, Kenneth (Evelyn) Fussell, Rock Hill, SC; one granddaughter, Tracey (Sammy) Bennett, Goose Creek, SC; one grandson, Chris (Tina) Fussell, Rock Hill, SC; six great-grandchildren, Rossie Kathryn Bennett, Rebekah Bennett, Chase Bennett, John Fussell, Sarah Fussell and Bethany Fussell; one sister, Martha O. Peacock, Macon; sister-in-law, Vaunita Waldon, McRae; and extended family, Thomas Giddens, Gloria Giddens, Kemberley Giddens and Brittni Giddens, all of Jacksonville; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Sunday, November 6, at Vaughn Funeral Home from 5:00-8:00P.M.  Funeral services will be at 3:00P.M., Monday, November 7, at Blockhouse Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Jacksonville Lions Club, c/o Elizabeth H. Jones, 4516 Hwy 441, Jacksonville, GA 31544 or to the Blockhouse Baptist Church.
