James Lamar Davidson, 76, of McRae, died Friday, November 3.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00P.M., Sunday, November 5, at McRae Presbyterian Church with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.  Visitation is Saturday, 6:00-8:00P.M.

A native of Laurens County, Mr. Davidson was the son of the late James L. and Margaret Blondell Stinson Davidson and was the husband of the late Jane Mann Davidson.  He earned a Masters Degree from the University of Georgia and was a counselor with the Georgia Department of Human Resources.  A U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam Era, Mr. Davidson was a member of McRae Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his sons, Sim (Andrea) Davidson and Norwood Davidson, both of McRae; uncle, Lamont Davidson of East Dublin; and grandchildren, Emily Davidson, Merritt Davidson and Millie Davidson, all of McRae.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to McRae Presbyterian Church Building Fund or to McRae First Baptist Church Building Fund.
